Your adventure begins with a breathtaking drive from Leh to the Nubra Valley. We will ascend to the legendary Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, offering panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. After descending into the valley, we check into our hotel/campsite in Hunder. In the evening, we visit the majestic Diskit Monastery, perched high above the town, to witness stunning sunset views over the valley.
Today is dedicated to exploring the unique landscape of Nubra. We start with a visit to the famous white sand dunes of Hunder, where you can enjoy a memorable ride on the double-humped Bactrian camels. The contrast of the desert against the snow-capped mountains is a sight to behold. We will spend the rest of the day exploring the village and soaking in the serene atmosphere.
After a delicious breakfast, we begin our journey back to Leh, once again crossing the mighty Khardung La. You will have the afternoon free in Leh to explore the local market for souvenirs, relax at a café, or visit Shanti Stupa for a peaceful end to the day. This concludes your unforgettable Nubra Valley discovery.
